Windows 7 and any Windows operating system comes in bundled with preloaded games. These are classic games like Solitaire, MineSweeper, Spider Solitaire, etc which, for some people, very addictive and very good tool to pass time. However, for some it may be completely obsolete and useless game and they might want to remove them from the system. A user who has a high end computer which is completely customized for gaming experience will never be interested in such basic games or even a user who is using his or her Windows 7 Laptop or Desktop completely for business purpose and never use it for multimedia and entertainment purpose then he or she would also never want such games to be presented on system.

These games take the system resource and also holds a certain amount of disk apace as well, so if you really are not interested to keep these games then you can follow these below mentioned simple steps to remove default games from your Windows 7 PC.

Step1: Click on Start Menu and open Control Panel. This will load a new window with all the in-built Windows utilities and applications.

Step2: Select the option ‘Uninstall a Program’ under the main page in Program heading.

Step3: The previous step will load another window with new options. It will show you all the installed programs on your computer, now from the same place you will need to click on the option ‘Turn Windows feature on or off’, which is shown on the left pane of the same screen.

Step4: It might take a bit to launch a new window as it is going to list all the default operating system features in one screen. After a while, windows will pop up with all the default functions of the Windows from where you need to uncheck ‘Games.’ User can also expand the Games tab and remove any specific games from the list do not want to remove all the default Windows games from the computer.

Step5: Now click on the OK tab to complete the process. Once you click on Ok, it will show you a progress bar with the indication of removing the default games from the computer.

Users can restore the games back in future as well by going to the same place as mentioned in the Step4 and check the option of games again.
